Does Your Home’s Exterior Offer a Warm Invitation for Holiday Visitors?

Has the following scenario happened to you at some point in your life? You’re invited to a friend’s home for a nighttime get-together. You appreciate the friendly invitation, and look forward to the evening.

But it doesn’t get off to a good start. Because once you’ve parked your car, you find that you’re forced to navigate a dark and murky pathway to your friend’s front door.

Is there a slick spot waiting to ambush you? A black cat lurking to trip you up? A child’s roller skate perfectly positioned to provide a nasty slip?

Who knows? You can’t see!

You Don’t Do That to Your Guests, Do You?

Homeowners don’t intentionally leave their guests in the dark. They just don’t think about it. After all, they know their property like the back of their hand. So they don’t have any difficulty at all in navigating a pathway that’s less than well lit.

That’s why it’s a good idea to occasionally evaluate your outdoor lighting. Try to envision yourself arriving at your home after dark, perhaps for the very first time.

Is every step from parking to threshold lit with crystal clarity?

If not, that’s a problem that could potentially result in a serious injury. And though that murky walk you impose upon your visitors is quite unintentional, it’s really rather rude.

No Better Time Than Now to Eliminate Murkiness

The holidays are upon us. That likely means that you’ll soon have lots of visitors stopping by for evening celebrations. And that means that there’s no better time than now to assure that your outdoor lighting doesn’t turn a cold shoulder to visiting friends.

If you’d like a professional evaluation of your outdoor lighting, give us a call. We’ll be happy to stop by and offer our recommendations for making your home’s exterior warm and inviting for visitors.

But whatever you do, don’t leave your visitors in the dark. Because that’s just rude!
