This month is Thanksgiving, a great time to be grateful and reflect on why we’re thankful. Yet there are times when we can become so bogged down with responsibilities, heartaches, and many other stresses that feelings gratitude can be difficult.
During this month of Thanksgiving, let’s celebrate all that we have – family, friends, homes.
For greater levels of gratitude this month and throughout the year, we can dig a little deeper. To find out who and what you’re grateful for when that gets buried in day-to-day life, ask yourself the questions below.
Start each answer with, “I am grateful for …”
Who is always there for me?
Whose actions or words or wisdom have helped me become the person I am today?
Who has done something to make my life easier?
Who are the people in my life that I can’t live without?
What in my life do I take for granted?
How is my life better today than it was on this date last year?
What lessons have I learned in the past year that bettered my life or made me stronger?
What material possessions am I glad I have?
How have my beliefs and actions blessed my life?
What opportunities am I grateful for?
What is one thing I enjoy most about my job?
What do I enjoy about my neighborhood and community?
Happy Thanksgiving!
